Peugeot 306 GTI-6 For Sale.

Here we have my much loved, and well looked after totally stock Phase 1 GTI-6. Its totally standard throughout bar a stainless back box, even down to the original airbox and ducting.

Engine and box are sweet as a nut having had a head rebuild where all the guides and valves were checked and replaced as necessary and built back up with a Payen gasket set and full cambelt kit at the same time. It was also fully serviced with oil and all filters and an auxiliary belt done as a matter of course. No tapping, ticking or oil consumption AT all, oil pressure is fantastic hot or cold and starts on the button and returns good MPG.

Bodywise its super tidy, a couple of age related marks like a few stonechips to the front end, and a scratch and small car park ding on the tailgate, that’s largely it. Extremely presentable for a car that’s nearly 20 years old!

Interior is very good too, small bit of wear on the lower bolster that’s gone into a small hole (as per most 306’s) and been patched from the inside with a bit of alcantera.

Everything works, none of the usual 306 door loom problems with windows not working or locking having a mind of its own, the only thing needing doing is the air-con regassing, the pipe that usually rots out is good on this one so I’m confident a regas would sort it out.

Has recently had fresh gearbox oil with genuine BV oil.

Bad points: I think there’s a heat shield that needs a tweak as every now and then you get a noise from it, the drivers seat has been patched as mentioned previously, and there are a couple of age related dings around the body.

The only reason its up for sale is due to needing to raise some funds for an impending house purchase, with owning a 182 Clio and a 205 something has to give and sadly the 306 is the first in line.

MOT’d till summer next year (will have to check exact date) and tax’d till May 2013.

So to recap, it’s a lovely, all original appreciating classic that needs nothing doing other than enjoying. Pictures are worth a thousand words so here’s a couple to start.
