Well basically i'm taking the head off to have it repaired from the tapping, so while i'm at it should i put some fast road cams in ? what are people thoughts of them ? and how much are you looking for a set of cams ? Anything else anyone would also recommend while its apart ? Thankyou in advanced ! Harry

start by reading this regarding cams:

then find a decent specialist, you may or may not need valve guides, definitely get the seats checked.

will likely need a few valves if it taps.

tappets you can refresh yourself very easily, read the following.

We have a rebuilt head thats only done 1000 miles on the astor thats being broken if your interested bud previous owner paid £600 odd for it right before the bottom end let go ?

Thankyou welsh pug that was very helpful ! kind of changed my mind on getting cams for it now ! sounds quite risky lol, thank you ill deffinatly do that to the tappets when i have them out !
