Need a new drivers seat for my gti6. Just wondering what my options are, if i can not get an original (few a far between here in ireland). I would be interested in 2 full leather seats from a vert or a 406 or would 206 gti front seats fit. Not too bothered about the back seats if i can get a set of full black leather front ones. I have converted a 205 passenger seat into a drives seat in the past so i presume i can do the sale with the 306 if needs be. |

406 ones are a different shape, I don't know whether they would fit. 206 seats look too big in a 306, but I've seen the odd photo where someone has put them in. There are plenty of leather 306 Cabriolet seats for sale here in the UK (the rears are different but the fronts look the same), maybe come across on the ferry for a visit? I'd stick with 306 seats, unless you want to make it into a track car for which you can buy subframes to suit. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

i did consider 206gti seats but they look well out of place in a 306. look huge!!The rx8 seats look perfect and a quite easy to fit but if your a fat bas**rd, they might be quite uncomfortable as they are quite narrow. |

206 gti 180 seats look f**king massive and totally out of place in a 306.Oddly enough, they look ok in a 206!! Comfy and supportive, although weigh a ton! ________________________________________ 1999 Astor Grey GTi-6 OEM+ (now gone...)2004 Aegean Blue 206 GTi 180 (also gone...) 2006 Skoda Fabia vRS in Sprint Yellow honestly3k wrote: Do you wrestle for a living matt? manthos wrote: Seen type r recaro's in a 306 and they looked good. Better than the rx8 ones imo. Sorry niall. Agreed but 1. they have type r written on them which makes you look like youve bought them cheap halfords seat covers and 2. they are really expensive! Reason i went for the rx8 ones is because they are cheap and the colours kind of match the rears. was £80 for the entire interior. Mik, they are a mix of original runners and a few bits of metal welded up. They are very simple to fit with a welder and grinder. No complicated brackets to make. I am going to do a guide soon as there are a few people interested! |

Obviously I'd pay for your time... I didnt weld them my self mate. I got a mate to do it. I cant weld for s**t lol. And since when was Nottingham near Epsom? lol. To be honest, you might get away with drilling and bolting the adaptors to the rx8 subframes but seeing as my mate was about with his welder, it made sense just to do it that way. And the passengers seat folds forwards to allow people into the back. |
