Hi my airbag light is on and have been reading up on it and i know i need tocut out the plug but is it ok to just unplug the connector and repair the wires or do i need to disconnect battery or that so that the airbag doesnt fire?________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

Disconnect the battery if you're repairing wiring. Just be on the safe side. |

A read that i need to disconnect battery over night to let the capacitors discharge,not too sure if this is true________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

you definatly need to disconnect the battery yea! my mates saxo airbag went off when he moved his seat!! ________________________________________ GTI-6.........Gold. |

is the light on solid or is it flashing? If its flashing, it will be a pre tensioner issue but if its solid, it could be anything else in which case you will need it plugged in to find out whats up.9 out of 10 times though it is the pre tensioner wiring. |
