hey guys, i'm just wiring in a small amp and I've seen all the old posts about running power cables from the battery through the passenger side grommet. I'm wondering if i cant just power it from the fusebox under the drivers side though? Do I have to run a cable all the way to the battery? surely there's a big power cable coming from the battery to the fuseboard anyway?

Also, where do people get switched +ve?

cheers.

No don't wire to the fuse board you will draw to much power and burn something out

Power straight to the battery and the switch / remote come from the headunit ? There is no switch live No

Just managed to find the manual for the head unit and it does have a 0.3a "amp rem" out which must be the switched +ve.

I'll just have to run through to the battery for the main power then.

Thanks. Happy Christmas all.
