Hi there wondering if anyone could help me as my dash panel lights come on and off every 3 mins approx or sometimes if i hit a bump.thanks________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

Remove the dimmer switch to the right of the steering wheel and make sure the orange plug is plugged in securely. |

Triedthat and it was plugged in but the dimmer switch doesn't work,wud this cos the lights to come on and off________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

Its a very very simple design switch so you could open it up and see if you can see anything loose/missing. If not, find a wiring diagram and find what pins to bridge to do away with the switch. Believe its the two very outer wires on the orange plug but dont take my word for it! |

i thought it was only a 2pin switch? my old one was, just bridged it and fecked it off________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

There is 4 wires going into it which are numbered a think,were could i get a wiring diagram from________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

Sorry just took switch out car and it does only have 2 pins but there is 2 wires going into each pin.Will i just put a bit of wire across the 2 pins?________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |

yep, My first rallye had a blanking plate which basically did just that.________________________________________ '90 1.6 205 GTi, '98 306 GTi-6 |

i had this issue. and it turned out that the dimmer switch was very loose so it wasnt connecting right. Got a new one from scrappies and never had an issue since |

Tried bridging wires out and it never worked,any ideas now!Will i try a new dimmer switch________________________________________ Moonstone gti6 |
