Anyone got one? I know standard ones are just plastic but i am wanting something a bit stronger. Been thinking of making up my own to cover the whole underside of the engine bay.
Reason i ask is with me having the V6 engine in my 306 the engine is hangine quite abit lower than the subframe so wmanting to give it a little protection as i have already Smashed it once when i bottomed out on my local back roads.

I have seen a couple of different designes like the ones of which demon tweeks sell ect...

Just dont run it as low, a guard will make it run hotter, and with that engine reduce ground clearance even more!

Apparently this is the size of a sump guard for a Maxi, cut yourself a cardboard template & work from there...

Cool

you wont be able to get it the same height as adam's without 285 lb springs and basically starting the conversion from scratch with new engine mounts and possibly even driveshafts.

even then the rear bank's downpipe was a bit dented Laugh my ass off

Seeing this has made me think. We've got an AO plotter here, and I spend much of my life driving a CAD system so if anyone wanted a big template for this kind've thing I'd be happy to print it out.

Just a thought/good deed

looks fine to me, the back is too low though which will spoil the handling.
