Hi all, a friend of mine has recently fitted bike bodies to her 6 and since then she has the following problems:

Speedo, rev gauge and oil temp aren't working, other half (who fitted it all) has checked all wiring etc and everything is where it should be on paper, all plugs in back of cluster fine, sensors fine etc so that's one mystery!
Next mystery is cylinder 1 and 4 aren't creating a spark so its running but misfiring as you can imagine!
We've fitted brand new iridium plugs, ht leads and dizzy has been cleaned up and replaced so nothing there.
Graham says wire for 1 and 4 is the same so must be something wrong with wire there, he hasn't had a chance to look at this yet!

Any ideas peeps

only time i've had speedo etc die completely is the fuse blowing (think it's a 5a one) when faffing with the interior clock. it stopped the car running

but might not be the case if you've been messing with bike bodies

Apparent they have check all the fuses and replaced the fuses that protect the instrument cluster, going to try my clocks and see if that helps! If it was just the speedo I would say vss but as its most of them I'm wondering if any of them use a common earth.
Maybe it is an earthing issue??
Regarding the spark, ht and dizzy, don't people normally use a 16v xsi coil pack, guess either way should work with stand alone management.

Just had a Brain fart (I didn't install the bodies) I take it the vss would be wired into the Kms management, iirc don't you need done sort of signal converter box or something or am I talking s**t?

Yup, not seen it just the info iv been given above, need to see and try some parts and check the dash loom earth, bulk head connector, engine bay loom watch and engine and box earths but something's telling me that the rev counter and speedo need to be wired into module control box but as I haven't had much experience with aftermarket ecu's I'm not sure!

I haven't seen it either, i just heard her telling me about it a while ago.

Has the wiring loom been traced back to the Bulkhead looking for breaks in the wiring? Something has shorted out.
Also look at these earths, So many across the car haha
