Hi,

Just wondered if someone could do me a favour??

A) I'm going to get some ally plates made up to go in the foot wells of the track car, has anybody done this or have any ideas of what to use?

Cool please may somebody grab me a rough measurement of the width of the foot wells, between the tunnel and the sills in the pedal area as I'm not near the car this weekend and want to get some materials ordered up.

Thanks very much guys!

What does anyone think?

If i was to make them myself I would make them out of 7075 t3/6 aluminium, depends if your going to bend the edges and flare the leightening holes as T6 will crack but T3 might be a bit to flexible when stood on them.. I might be talking crap and I'm sure someone else can shed some light on the matter
Why don't you just buy them, passenger one is £15 on eBay, by the time you get the material, mark it all out, drill all the holes, flare them, somehow bend the edges as I guess you don't have a bending machine with different radius blocks bla bla bla

I'd use stainless tread plate. But I got the gear to cut weld and bend. Tbh I'd just buy the off the shelf bits as I'm lazy. Smile

Same easier and quicker to buy off the shelf stuff. Though Aaron could easily make it if you asked him to it would be several years before you see any progress..... Wink

Oh yeah, I'm not knocking the ones above, you can't beat them for value. I was thinking of doing some small and neat flat plates with the grip/anti slip going across under where your heals are

Can't really tell yet to be honest as the awful s**tty nankang tyres are still on there for another week or 2 till I finish spraying my other wheels and get the paradas fitted to them.

What exact measurements do you need? That's If I can find a tape measure.... In the middle of moving flats yet again :/.

Just had a rough measure but it's dark and mine has carpets and centre console etc, dist between centre tunnel and the vertical part of the sill in the pedal area is approx 54cm.

Pedals are 25cm across all 3 centred slightly to the left of the footwell area,

Distance between the edge of the left foot rest in the footwell near the pedals an the sill is 45cm.

Hope this helps give me a shout if you need anything else.
