Are there any fans which provide more airflow over the rad? My rad works very well, it can take 20 degrees off the coolant in a few seconds once moving, but there are occasions while stuck in traffic where my coolant temp is getting nail-bitingly hot. Fans are running on full but still seem to be struggling to keep things down?Cheers |

You could go for the electric fan and REVOtec setup. Basically you can control the revotec to kick in at your desired temperature.Im going to do the same myself. BTW I changed to a Nissens rad recently and they are a LOT better too, Although obviouls if your issues are when still then maybe a fan setup is a better point of call. How hot is it getting though? Have you checked the fans work ok? (Theres a FAQ on them) ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

They're both spinning at low speed at just under 100, and then the higher speed at about 110, which i believe is about right? The rad obviously works well so no point changing that. Car usually gets to 100 (and stays there) quite quickly once stationary, but have noticed it slowly creeping up in very heavy traffic to 110ish. |

Vik - Your fans seem to be working correctly. However, try bleeding the system, it sounds like you may have a small amount of air in there. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I'd definitely consider a thorough engine flush before spending out on fancy new fans. When was the fluid last changed? |

When you say it's getting hot, how hot exactly? Tbh although it does hover around the hundred mark more than you'd like, the standard fan setup is normally capable enough to keep it under control.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |
