Hi all,

I have had my 6 for sale for a while now, when I put it on eBay I had loads of interest. Had a few people wanting to come see the car at weekends and having cancelled plans for about 3 weeks running trying to accommodate others, no one seems to turn up! Then when I try and get back in touch they don't answer the phone and don't reply to messages. One guy even said he'd send a deposit to secure the car then to pick it up in a couple of weeks then when I said i'm not going to send my bank details over a text and tried to phone, nothing. No reply at all.. God Dam TIME WASTERS!

Rant over.

So if there are any real people who want to submit a real offer then please come forward. I hate to see the car go and the time wasters stretching it out is making the process all the more painful.

Listing is here:

http://www.306gti6.com/classifieds/viewadvert.php?id=250

additional pics can be found:

http://s736.photobucket.com/albums/xx7/Steve_Smith88/306%20GTi-6/

All of these were taken very recently just before all the flooding.

Plus I don't like that you cant bump a listing once it's in the Peugeots for sale section.

Unfortunately (and this isn't a dig at your car in particular) but crap cars attract crap people, and these cars we own are completely toss by modern standards.

If someone's spending about £1k on a car, they're clearly not in the market for something awesome and specific, and the market is absolutely flooded with cars of that standard and price. If it were a £200k one-off Pagani, people would fly round the world to buy it.

Unfortunately it's a 15-year-old French hatchback. This is the same reason I can't sell mine, they're not rare, they're not desirable, and no-one thinks twice about just not bothering to turn up.

All very annoying. Think I'll just burn mine.

Tell you what, I think I have a solution.

Plenty of people selling, no-one buying, but lots of us. How about rather than getting one person to pay £1k, we get a hundred of us each paying a tenner. Buy the car, we have a massive pool of people with spares and knowledge, buy up an entire squad of 306s then turn up on trackdays as a massive group and tear the living s**t out of the cars until they explode.

Everyone wins!

This is a good idea. We can store the cars at Rikky's house.

i actually took that all seriously up until the exploding car part

i think we should all buy shares in each others cars as it'll help people build them and when they sell them we get our share back, ideally at an inflated value

That'd be awesome. You could also just have a "spares pool" you pay to be part of - rather than everyone having two spare droplinks, spare discs and pads you just have a little bit each. If you need anything, the person who has it is obliged to dispatch it same day.

Communist Trackdays FTW!

Talking of getting your monies worth then you will be glad to know I did a 500+ mile trip round Snowdonia Tuesday and Wednesday.... Biggest grin for a long time. Scooby ran Brilliantly up and down llanberis Snowdon pass and the road from Betws y coed to Balla was fan fecking tastic. Wish I had a go pro.
