Sometimes Speedo needle hits 0 and doesn't move then randomly all of a sudden it starts working again. Also, whenever it is n't working the mile trip doesn't count and then starts correctly counting as soon as its working again.

Runs slightly worse when the problem is occurring, slightly lumpy with a higher tenadancy to stall, struggles to iidle problem near enough goes away when car decides to correct itself.

Can go some mornings to work with it only doing it once ortwice, some days the whole journey with no Speedo. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Mine does exactly this haven't got round to fixing it yet, got a feeling it's something to do with the speedo housing attached to the driveshaft? Seems to stop working when I hit a bump on the road.

It'll either be the VSS on the gearbox (they're around £50 from Pug and only one bolt to replace), or it could be the multiplug which attaches to the rear of the instrument cluster needs removing and re-plugging in again to clear a bad contact. Smile
