Just picked up an NTK lambda sensor for my 1.8 XS as I think it might solve a hesitation issue. Are NTK sensors any good?________________________________________ |

bosch are o.e on pugs and you can pick them up for about 50-60, I think NTK are o.e on many other manufacturers though like ford.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Very much the same. As welshpug says bosch are O.E for pug and iirc they invented the lambda sensor. NTK are a very reputable name though so it'll certainly do the job ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Mine came up with O2 sensor permanent fault. A new one seems to have cured it. ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

quote: Works spot on,car feels smoother now so thinking the old one was starting to fail That's good to know mate. I'm always a bit unsure about anything non oem or aftermarket. I get a slight hesitance when pressing on sometimes like the ecu is taking a while to decide what to do. It also loses a noticeable amount of power above 5500rpm quite often. I've changed the plugs and coil pack which improved things but not cured it. I unplugged the o2 sensor which has made quite a difference. It felt like it produced more power than before and happily went to the redline. I do get a few pops in the manifold/downpipe on over-run though. I'm not using the car like this as I don't want to poison the cat or pollute the oil if its too rich. ________________________________________ |

My red 6 started juddering and spluttering like a b**ch when driven gently, got the codes read and lambda was fooked. Got an ntk one from a factors for about £45 and it cured it spot on. Was fine till the day I sold it. Got a new genuine bosch on the supercharged beast though just as I know it's O.E.________________________________________ Black power baby! I would prefer a Bosch purely because it's O.E. However, NTK are a very reputable brand so I can't see you having too many issues with it. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

They make bloody good spark plugs so don't see why they couldn't make a good lambda. My new NTK one seems to be holding up fine so far ________________________________________ Team Nile 6Team: 40.2 MPG 5 x a 306 owner! currently abusing type r's in a town near you ™ I truely live for the 306 ® Build date: 29th October 1997 Wednesday's car midweek madness |

Yeah, it's a strange one...I always prefer Bosch lambdas, but then I run NGK plugs myself too. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

seans6 wrote: Wheres the cheapest place to buy a o.e Bosch one? Any factors should be able to order you one from Bosch direct. The shocking thing is, you can buy a Bosch sensor in a Bosch box for around the £60 mark from a factors, and yet you can buy the identical Bosch sensor in a Peugeot box from Pug for around the £140 mark! ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
