At the crank, probably about 4 deg. As this would translate to 2 deg at the cams as they turn at half the speed of the crank. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

There's talk of it bringing the power band slightly down in the rev range if you advance the inlet cam by a couple of degrees making the power more "useable", but I don't recall ever seeing any charts or dyno runs done to prove this. It's one of those things that can ruin your engine if you muck up trying to set it up and there's very little room for error on these engines, so to be honest, I'd just leave it alone. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

Whilst it can be done, ^^ this is the best advice if you don't want to risk internal damage. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

It made a noticable difference on mine. Twice in fact. But I cant tell you how much you can safely go as I didnt do it myself either time, sorry ________________________________________ Lots of Nissans, two 306 GTI-6's. They are catching up! |

I remember Petegti6 doing this back in about 2007, and he gained about 10lb/ft from doing it. Like docwra says, it can be done, but you've really got to know what you're doing otherwsie the engine will go bang. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

If you've got plenty of spares and don't mind a bit of trial and error then go for it. Are you looking to get it on the rollers after to see what sort of difference it made or just drive it and see if it 'feels' any better? ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Fair enough, you should be able to feel the extra 10lb/ft on the road assuming you manage to gain that figure. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

you may not feel it really, as it makes it smoother losing the "kick" people say they feel in ones with the timing retarded.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

By doing the mod, it is supposed to bring the peak power down further in the rev range, so there becomes little point in going over the 6.5k etc.________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
