Not this again?!

Every forums has a different TTL, but it's massive. For example, threads in the FAQ and Project forums will get deleted 10 years after the last post.

The only forums with less than 2 years are the Comedy and OffTopic forums. These fill up really fast and they're generally pointless, which is why they get removed.

The auto-delete keeps the website running as fast as possible and strips out the crap.

Surely the fact that threads that people want have been deleted proves that's bo***cks? There have been countless threads people have been after that are less than two years old. Even myself I've been through deleting a load of my "useful links" because the threads they pointed to have been deleted.

Who's to say that because it's in Offtopic that it's not worth keeping? Some of the best threads on here were in those forums.

100% of people on here are paying to be here now, you can't just pooh-pooh their requests because you don't think it's right.

It was admin that told me to write that! Anyway, I was making a point (on behalf of admin). Also, its just a forum!! there are far more important things in life, like snake skin cowboy boots.

Is it? Dunno

I know not all the Admin Team are present on a daily basis, but myself, Jeffers and Rich E are usually knocking about at some point during the day. Yes
