Right looking at sorting handling on car whilst it's off road and first place I'm looking at is tyres. Currently got a mix of all sorts on so after a full fresh set. Noticed the nankang ns2's aren't a bad price but heard mixed reviews and wondering if anyone on here has had them. If not I'm looking at spending 200-250 on a fresh set if anyone has any suggestions. Size is 195 45 1________________________________________ www.eastcoastmodified.orgE46 318i tourer SE - Dog Car/Work horse 306 Gti - Track Project |

Nankangs are s**t.Get rs2s or pe2s tbh. Ive had a few decent tyres on the 6 now. Nothing compares to when i had 4 pe2s on it.. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Agreed with the above. .pe2's are outstanding in the dry and wet. So much better than most of the other popular tires on here. Don't waste your time with t1r's, Iv had the nangkangs and to be fair they gripped okay but they all split on the inner side walls.________________________________________ See the sheer power and might of the lesser known burrowing owl. |

Nangkangs are the tyres that people use as a joke when talking about putting on bad tyres. Step away from the Nangkangs. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

Currently using Dunlop Sport Maxx on my Rallye, excellent tyres dry and wetAs good as PE2's Put nankangs on my Mrs's old corsa Sri,195/45 16's,and being honest they were better than the Kuhmo's that came off it Better grip and not as hard on the road ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

I used Nankang NS2's during 2007/2008. I found them really grippy in the dry and pretty good in the wet too. The only downside for me was the wear rate. They wore out so quickly, although to be fair they did offer a lot of grip in the time they were usable. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

This is though if you want to be cheap you can just get the PE2 in the smaller sidewall for 60quid?Personally after having the car a while and using tyres after having PE2's I've fully accepted that they are the best by MILES and also completely worth it. If you want to get the best out of the car then get them. I bought some BF Goodrich tyres since and they are NOWHERE near as good until you get them very hot. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Have these on my 6 currently in 205/40/17 and I'm Literally fearfull of driving it in the wet it's like driving on snow! The car goes straight on at every roundabout even at slow speeds and can't put down any power even before it Was charged and spins from 3k upwards now it's charged... Considering how cheap they are their good value for money in the dry as they don't grip to bad for the price but if you use your car as a daily in all weathers stay well clear. ________________________________________ Black power baby! The a3 i just bought has some cheapy tyres on its halfrauds chav wheels, they grip ok but on tarmac surfaces make a siren/air raid alarm kind of noise, its awful between that and the diesel rattle going on ________________________________________ keep the machinery between the greeneryR766JKV nile blue gti6 - sold V634DLR black gti6 - sold Now driving a skoda furby vrs - for sale Currently piloting an Audi a3 sportback |

I thought it was my gearbox whining at first, then realised it changes tone depending on road surface. Brand new tyres too so im not replacing them until theyre worn a bit. ________________________________________ keep the machinery between the greeneryR766JKV nile blue gti6 - sold V634DLR black gti6 - sold Now driving a skoda furby vrs - for sale Currently piloting an Audi a3 sportback |

I was running standard power in 2007 and they were fine in both wet and dry. In fact did a trackday with them at Brands Hatch and it was soaking all day. Had no grip issues. I was running low boost in 2008 and still had no problems. I was running the same size profiles as you on my OZ Hydras. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I bloody hated them on my 405, even though they aren't as grippy as Michelin, the Avon ZV5's I fitted at the time made them look absolutely s**te, especially in the wet.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Must be because they are now pretty warn on the edges Stan, to much corner hacking in the dry :p they literally are the worst tyres I've ever driven with in the wet. Maybe not so bad if their not warn. You can pick them up for like £42 a tyre in that size from camskill which is very good but personally I can't wait to get them off the car.________________________________________ Black power baby! To be fair I wouldn't run any other tyre now apart from an R888, but at £170 a corner they're not to everyone's budget. But I must admit, you do get what you pay for. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
