newbe to the GTI 6, happy with the performance for now,

but was wondering what mods you would make to improve handling and in what order?

Replace all the worn out bits ?

Lower arm bushes, drop links, ball joints, top mounts new or uprated shocks and refurb the rear beam Yes

Oh track rod ends as well

As Bowen says, replacing bushes etc is the first thing and will generally tighten the car back up. Yes

From there, lowering the front by around 30mm, lower the rear to match and refurb the beam whilst you're there.
In my opinion, these cars benefit hugely from upgrading to solid rear beam mounts over the standard passive steer rubber ones, although others prefer the standard setup so it's more a personal preference thing. Smile

Cheers Both,

I know alot of people just jump to lowering the suspension but being a old car i thought it be better to get an idea first

wheres the best place to buy bushes etc from?
