You could take the power for the relay directly from the battery via a suitable fuse. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Just make sure you feed the open contact not the coil or the fuel pump will be constantly on.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. the "open contact" on the relay?i plan to use a 30amp relay as i already have one basically when my standard fuel pump kicks in it will trigger the relay to complete the Bosch 044 circuit thus both fuel pumps will go at same time. pretty sure i understand enough electrics to not blow anything up to use correct gauge wire, 30 amp fuse for the Bosch live wire coming from battery to relay will solder and heat wrap any wires so it does not look too rough this seem okay? ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |

Yup, thats how i'd do it use the bloue wire as the trigger for the relay and you wont go wrong really. Cant say the pin numbers are correct on the relay without having one to hand but diagram is fine. (well stolen sir) lol________________________________________ Black power baby! That blue wire goes right back to the maxi fuse box. Can't remember which fuse it is but its obvious if you look underneath because the blue wires there. You could splice into it there, attach the relay onto the maxi fuse box so it's protected and easy to get too, and also easy to run a cable from the battery, through the relay, then under the car to the new pump. The 044 pumps draw 14a at 5 bar, and 15a at 8bar, so probably a 20a fuse to be safe and avoid nuisance fuse blowing, or a 15a one should be ok but under heavy load the pump may blow it. As long as the cable your using is rated above 15a it should be fine. ________________________________________ Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 1Oulton Park in a BTCC 306 vid 2 Lap of the 'ring |

Thanks Pete, putting the relay in the fuse box sounds like a good idea.Should be easy to find that wire and solder/splice into ________________________________________ TEAM HIGH BOOST SUPERCHARGED RALLYEMy Rallye project thread |
