So a couple of weeks ago on both sides the main beam stopped working. Then last night both of the dipped main lights died.

I thought they were two h7 but they are h4 so dipped and main in one bulb.

I'm a bit confussed as both bulbs are fine and assume they run on the same fuse for main and dipped setting? So surely they would both have died at once?

Where should I start?

Anyone know the fuse numbers so I can eliminate this.

Could it be an earth?

Thanks

They are supposed to, there is a big resistor that supplies a percentage of power to the dipped beam headlights when you turn the sidelights on. Not entirely sure why they did this but it was something that was required years ago.

If you find your dipped and main beam lights stop working but the lamps and fuses etc are ok then check the resistor. It's mounted to the underside of the lip of the passenger side wing in front of the battery box.

Thats the one, check to make sure the connections are ok but yeah you may end up having to replace it. Shouldn't be too hard to get hold of though ( I may even have a couple if you need one).
