As above.Otherwise the calipers/ pads will overhang. Not even worth considering tbh ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

Well maybe they won 't overhang .... but either way no.Just no. I wouldn't dick about with stuff like that. Just use the discs that are the right size ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

283x26 discs from a 206/207/307 are a direct fit and work fine with 406 Brembos. That's what everyone ran years ago before someone discovered the Xantia discs fitted. (The standard GTi-6 discs are a no-go though... wrong offset and too thin.) eliotrw wrote: I wouldn't dick about with stuff like that. Just use the discs that are the right size I wouldn't exactly say that the Xantia discs are the 'right' size for the 406 Brembos. There's a large unswept area at the bottom, and an upswept lip at the top too as can be seen in Owain's photos here: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=141439 ________________________________________ Rich |

Oh rly. In that case I'm a cock.I thought that you needed 288s for the extra pad area or something. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

The pads will overhang the discs very slightly (less than 1mm) when running 283s, but it's nothing to worry about. The Xantia discs are the best compromise from a fitment perspective, but if you can get the 283s cheaply or have a set lying around then there's no point in not using them. Whether the extra 2mm thickness and ~0.75mm extra pad contact area the Xantia disc will give are worth the trade-off in extra weight is an entirely different debate though... ________________________________________ Rich |

the pads won't wear evenly, hence there will be a lip. They will start to break up, i saw an exampleof this very recently |
