Is it waste of time and money fitting uprated cam on the exhaust side on the mi16 engine?

I got uprated on the inlet side, but I see petert say the clue is not to touch the exhaust.

for initial tuning that's probably quite right, if you go wilder you'll need higher compression and more valve clearance.

Im running 11-1 comp. But what is the inlet exhaust balance (80%) petert talk about. Im running on 42mm itbs.
Both inlet and exhaust cams are the same 264deg and 9,6 lift. Would it be better to fit a std exhaust cam?
