HI chaps

my gti6 has got a problem went to it tonight to sort headlamps and after a bit of tinkering went to start her and it reved up to 3500 rpm and was sucking air through breather filter by air filter!

Thumbs up car has done hardly any miles since i brought her in march as it going on road end of august, but was drove last on sunday few miles if that and parked up! Also found 3 plugs by throttle body! any help would be appreciated!

There is a surplus connector on the loom in that area anyway so it might be that which you have identified.

The redundant connectors shouldn't fit the ICV so it's easy to eliminate that possibility. Nice easy fix if the plug has just dropped out.

It does indeed sound like the ICV is not plugged in...Yes

From memory it's the only plug in that area which has 4 pins, it should be a fairly thin black plug with a blue rubber grommet around the base of it. Wink
