Ok, so day to of owning my new 6 and the engines died on me. Basically, It lost power as I was driving then cut out completely. The joys of owning a Peugeot. Hmm
Anyways, the recovery guy slapped his diagnostic on and it came out with fault code 046, which doesn't mean anything to my mate at Peugeot because apparently their codes start with a P.
I'm pretty sure it's a coil or injector but can Anyone shed any light on this code?

Cheers, Andy. I'll give you a shout if I'm struggling. It had been sat for about a month so I'll check that out.

The mrs' bro is taking a look, later, so I'll know then.

Cheers, lads. Forgot how helpful you lot could actually be when your not sucking each other off. Thumbs up

I'm surprised one bad coil stopped it from running, it should still have been running but just on 3...

Anyway, glad it's sorted out now. Thumbs up

Wrong. All ph3s and late ph2s were obd2 compliant. All petrol cars had to be obd2 compliant by march 2000 but most manufacturers started way before.

046 is defiantly not a proper fault code. Fault codes should be 5 characters first being a letter. The letter determines where the problem lies. P is power train, B is body and C is chassis.

Not that it matters now because you've fixed it...

It was 1 January 2000 for new models only. Compliance for existing models was 1 January 2001.
