it's the VSS (speed sensor), situated in the housing at the side of the gearbox. i fitted one the other month, about £10 for the part from any motor factors. took about 20 minutes to fit and top the box oil up________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

hi, see the photos in the thread. it's still here but if it isn't sold soon ill be making office chairs out of them. I think you can swap the seat bases over anyway so a passenger one (on mine it's good nick) should work________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

before you try the speed sensor on the Gearbox housing just open the fuse box under the steering wheel there's a metal fuse take it out give it a wipe and put it back,.. static or some s**t can cause it not to work properly and speedo dies,.. then jumps back to life i've had it a few times in the past! ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |
