my '99' gti 6 has had a problem with its idle since i bought it about 3 weeks ago which often leads to it cutting out. I took it to my mates garage to put it through diagnostics and the only thing that showed up was the power steering sensor. would that be likely to cause the idling problem or has anyone got any ideas to what else it could be????

Could be as it tells the ECU when the steering is being used and up's the idle slight when being used.

^^This

And if it does sort the issue, then just buy a new sensor. Wink
