My Peugot 306 1.6 2001, 5 Speed Manual is giving me problems. The problems are 1. Second gear keeps slipping out, All other gear are alrite. 2. Sometimes I am not been able to select into Reverse Gear. I bought this car recently and it has done only 66k miles. Can anyone throw some light on whats happening. Do I need a new gear box or anything else. Your help would be much apprieciated. ________________________________________ Arul |

Do I need to replace the Gear Box?I am scared that if i take it to a garage, its going to cost me a fortune. Unfortunately I am no good at understanding these.  ________________________________________ Arul |

Na the linkages attach to the gearbox from the gearstick, these can wear. Mine does this sometimes going round corners/ junctions.
