2.1 would be created using an 88mm crank from a 1.7 or 1.9 pug engine, petrol or diesel, they're all 88mm stroke.2.2 would be using the XUD11 92mm crank. You'd use 87mm bore pistons and custom rods to suit, this would cost around £13-1400, Sandy Brown has a spec for both that works. 2.1 would be quite revvy still, 2.2 packs a hell of a shove but will still rev out well. OR, you could use an EW12. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

You would need uprated rods for going high boost, however if you are changing the stroke of the engine you will need some custom rods made as the ones off the shelf from Rich_W are for an engine with a standard stroke of 86mm. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

fatlapitV6 is a little to heavy + don't think has been done to a highboost before and I fancied being the first one to do it. ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

I wouldn't bother Ross.We tend to rev these S/C'd engines quite highly, increasing the stroke increases the piston speed, which increases fatigue on everything. I also wouldn't go past 86,5mm on the bore - otherwise cylinder wall thickness becomes a concern given the cylinder pressures these engines sustain, You would just be better off machinging the restrictor out and running some more boost, it will give you more torque and more ponies. It's a kinder way of getting more out of the engine, as long as you can deal with dissipating the extra heat energy etc etc. ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |

Ok Richard I trust your judgement on these conversions, just thought for a little extra work could release some extra power ________________________________________ Super high boost Completed, destroyer of gearboxes and 160mph club |

I thought of this a while ago and as rich says it's probably not needed at all. Particularly with that new c38 that brings the power in a bit lower down the rev range irc ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |
