Hey,

I've a Phase 2 GTI6 and it's had a power loss problem on it for over 18 months. The power dips in and out, so it runs as sweet as a nut or as flat as a pancake but for a majority of the time it's flat.

I've tried to fix it with a change of the following -

- Lambda sensor
- MAP sensor
- Fuel Filter/pump
- Exhaust and CAT
- Plugs
- Air Filter
- Reset ECU
- I've also checked the coil packs and they're okay.

All of the above needed doing at some point anyway but I thought it was best just to see if it made a difference.

Anyhow, it's not got to the root of the problem and I'm left head scratching.

If anyone could have a look over it for me and maybe suggest something new I'd appreciate it. Also, I willing to fork out if you think you could fix it.

I live in the Bristol area but could travel if need be.

Cheers.

James.

It sounds like lambda, if you've changed that I'd say check the green coolant temp sensor.

Another one for Ecu temp sensor.

Unplug it when it's running rough and if it makes no difference that's the problem Thumbs up

I've got a spare green sensor you could try only in Horfield.
