Only had my 6 a few weeks are realised there is a leak from the ram on the steering rack so it will need replacing at some point soon. Now I'm not to clued up on 6's seeing as I was a 1.8 man for so long so excuse the potential stupid question but is there anything better I can put in there while it's being replaced? I've heard some of the vts racks are less turns but which ones?

Cheers

Ph1 VTS has a 2.4 turns rack,Ph2 VTS has a 2.6 turns rackThumbs up

Ph1 rack is a direct fit to Gti6 PAS pipes,Ph2 needs the PAS pipes off the Xsara to match rackWink

Only downside is for you you need a Gti6 Ram to fit to the Xsara rack!Yes

As this is what limits your RH lock to stop tyre to gearbox contact on full lockSmile

The ram unbolts from the rack. Yes

It's a straight-forward change. Smile
