Bit of a problem.. basicly newly purchesed blaze and no break lights worked at all,
checked fues's...all ok...
checked bulbs...all ok....

soo m8 of mine (mechanic) said it might be break light switch told me basicly what to do i.e undo steering rack to gain access to the switch which i did as its positioned in awkward place up from break peddle.....

anyway long story short i have the switch out n just need somewere to get a new one..

problem 1..where would b best place to go

problem 2...would replacing the switch solve the problem or is there any other options or common problems that caurse it

Open it up and clean the contacts
I put a couple of blobs of solder on mine as they had melted and blackened causing s**te contact!

I can only just about do this job as I have long, thin hands. Don't know how people with great big paws can do it. Dunno

And even then it's a struggle...

I can just about get my hand in the gap without having to fully remove the steering column.

Carl is not winding him up!

look at the switch you have? it should be a plastic switch which is white and black? correct? if not then you have the wrong switch in your hand!

the switch he has for sale is a metal one which screws in the gearbox!

Mark, the buttom on your switch, (the black and white plastic one) only does stick out about 5mm. to clean it, ie the contact, then you need to pull it appart. but to be honest its not worth the hassle due to new ones being so cheap and the fact that its mounted in such a pig of a place, that you dont really want to be taking it out again in a few weeks!

hope that helpThumbs up Smile

Brake lights should come on once the button is out ? If not then check the plug is actually plugged in ?
