Did forgot to grease the shaft when i cleaned and painted my box. Did fit it to my new build engine and now i got clutch judder in 1st and second gear. Can this cause the judder, or does anyone have any idea what causes the judder.

Clutch judder will be caused by a warped friction plate and/or flywheel...

check the top nylon bush which the clutch fork/shaft locates in, mine was badly worn so the clutch would not release equally and in the end it knackered the release bearing and i had replace the clutch!

I had judder when pulling away in 1st. It was the flywheel and it needed re-facing: I could even see slight pitting/surface crazing on it. Was cheap though and I had to do the clutch anyway. New OE clutch kit and shiny re-faced flywheel = drive take-up that has never been so silky smooth. Big grin

If it is the flywheel, surely the ideal time to upgrade to a lightened one? Cool
