Heat usaully gets them off.

Best option if they are well stuck is to buy some new track rods and fit them at the same timeYes

if you are replacing track rods as well as the track rod ends, you might need new rubber covers
i destroyed mine when i attempted to change a track rod

usually heat is enough Shock

Take your new track rod ends to the garage doing the tracking. Oxy-Acetylene soon gets them off.

Unscrew the track rod itself from the rack and work on the bench with heat, penetrating fluid etc

Does it matter if its getting tracked afterwards? As long as the threads are ol.

I would rather have straight track rods to be honest, regardless of whether it was being tracked afterwards. Yes

Thanks to an idiot tracking the car who had no idea how to use the oxy-acetylene, and put far too much effort into trying to undo the seized TRE.

I stand corrected. Yeah, that is a bit distorted.
