I knew your first run would be around that, now what you have to do is learn from your mistakes & get faster every timeThere are lots of things you have to get right for a good run. To give you an idea of how far you are away you are from your potential, I've had my gear linkage come off shifting into second & still managed a time of 17 seconds.... The start is where you make or lose loads of time, I'll give you some tips at Oulton if your still going ________________________________________ Get used to seeing the yellow one !!!Team 330™ Team "no front end or engine" Team "LIMITED EDITION" I live for the 306 sticker Team 0-60 in 6.44 & standing qtr in 14.808 @ 94.55mph all with std engine 203bhp Corolla T-Sport daily driver stealthier than Kwai Chang Caine |

I was never any good at launching, hated doing it, still do now. I reckon with the right person doing the launch my car could do a high 12, but never in my hands... ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

As Wayne says, with the 1/4 mile it's all about that start, and mine have never been good largely because I hate giving the clutch a good pasting...________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

A track or hillclimb etc is where it's at...Much more fun IMO, and you get to use all the cars capabilities, not just its launch effort. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

Shelley had crappy tyres different on every corner and a decat. Considering i had a decat, panel filter, flywheel and half decent tyres i reckon the old girl did good to be only .1 off me. I was gaining in 1st gear but with every gearchange she was reeling me in ever so slightly. My next job is to sort out my gear change its awful, clonks and very tight in every gear.I was swetting a fair bit on the last race, it was gear for gear absolutely nothing in it |

Depending on who does the launch, a standard '6' will pull anything from a 15.0 to a 16.0. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
