so settled on the 16" Superleggera's after always running 15 or 17's

now after a bit of light reserach was under the impression that the wheel bolts I needed we M12'm

bought a 45mm bolt for the rear and a 50mm for the front
finding them hard to get in found that this happened to the longer bolt
and damaged the thread,..

on comparison to the cyclone bolts the thread is much closer together so what bolt size do I need for the correct thread size?

M12 x 1.25 is correct. Yes

At least, that is what I was told when looking for a set of locking wheel bolts.

no gave it a good clean before hand, that's copper grease on the bolt
the cyclone bolts are strait in no problem!
I think that my problem is I got the 1.5 thread when i should have gone for 1.25

i'd like to go hub conversion with the anodized blue looking wheel bolts like on yours but not sure how to measure up for them?

Yes M12 1.25 is the correct thread pinch, try rally design for bolts.

send a tap through that drive flange before fitting a bolt in there, and cross your fingers there's enough meat left.

and also pray that you haven't fitted all 4, or the other 3 wheels...

Their fine!
the bolts were softer than the thread on the hubs
I checked all that afterwards!
Like I say the cyclone bolts went in fine after and I only bought 1 of each bolt to test my measurements
Mite be worth sending a tap through if only to get all the old rust and crap out! Thumbs up

Thanks a lot guys! Thumbs up

right need your help again guys!

i'm thinking the hub conversion route is the better route to go down,..
due to being easier to get the locking wheel nuts for them
it can be done but £50+ on just standard wheel nuts + locking is a bit excessive! Dry

so in the standard wheel nuts that fit are 45mm and 50mm M12 x 1.25 thread tapered
do I get the same 45mm and 50mm versions like this one ( 50mm )

or do I have to allow extra length for the size/length of the Lug nut to fit onto as well?
if no one can answer i'll give them a ring tomo!

If your fitting open ended nuts you can go abit longer on the studWink

If they are closed end nuts you need to measure up correctly.

When I did it on my 309 I put the wheel on the car, then just stuck a tape measure through the bolt hole upto the hub faceBig grin

Then ordered studs to fit.It does depend on the length of the nut you are planning on using thoughYes

But surely this conversion kit with the studs and nuts plus the cost of a set of locking nuts will equate to more than £50?
