I know condition etc is important, but if its been looked after are they comfy enough for daily use? fuel economy isnt a problem, i drive a car with the same engine!! basically im lookimg for a new car and a friend in the trade may have found a rallye within my budget, and before giving it a yes i was hoping for feedback off owners. i know they are similar to the VTS but they lack creature comforts etc, im on the large (fat) side, are the seats good for tubbsters?

No Peugeot designed them to only be used on the 29th February.

i use my gti6 every single day, sit in traffic with it, do 300 miles a week to the office and back etc.. it's an every day car, not a weekend thing. it doubles up as a great skip aswell for doing tip runs. i fill it with s**t and leave it at the tip and then buy another.

Not the most comfortable of seats on long journeys, but I'd not have another '6 after having Rallyes

my gti6 gets used every day for commuting, plus a good 200 mile round trip most weekends - been fine so far apart from the odd little things, but nothing too unusual for a 15 year old car (wishbone bushes, rear beam bearings etc)

Plus its plenty of fun on the twisty commute every morning Big grin

Perfectly usable every day, quiet enough if standard and i find the seats more than comfy, and im a big bas**rd as well.

Rallyes are spot on bud

You don't get electrical problems like 6s as they have pretty much nothing to go wrong ? Ie alarm, air con, auto wipers etc Thumbs up

Well a massive motor manufacturer developed a car with the design goal of making it impractical to live with. Maybe that's why they only made 500...

i use my rallye every day till tomorrow..... they arent as "comfy" as a 6 as us tubsters dont fit the seats so well and leaning over the packs of doughnuts and macdonalds and kebabs to open the passenger window as it suddenly got hot weather wise today has started to bother me but it gets a few looks each day which was more than any of my 5 or 6 gti 6's i have had in the last 4 years ever did. Yes live with one but make sure the dreaded cam belt and pump are changed and be prepared for it to use more fuel as my citroen vts seems to do 6-8 mpg more as I am bored driving it!!!

ps another forum member met today to exchange lardie items and we were able to do a days work just...

todays car club meeting...

I do between 600-1000 miles a week every week. Lowered on eibach so is a little firmer than standard but I find them fine you will get used to the suspension.

I drove a meridian before the 6 and that was like driving on pillows, was great but I still enjoy driving the 6 and still most weekends look forward to Mondays as I know I get to drive her again Smile

i mean im proper fat, i look like like a ball. im 5'11 tall and about the same wide!! I find the s**troen has a harder bolster the side with the side airbag in it, so can get a bit uncomfortable after a while!

I am 5 10 and 100kg after a good dump..... but broad and the seats are perfectly ok, I do though confess to prefer the phase 2 gti6 seats though.... roland will be along any second!!!

I find mine for everyday use going to work etc. Fuel can be rather s**t at times but that's because it's only about 3 miles to work but sod walking/biking at that time of the morning and I want to get home ASAP when I'm done!

Usually much better on a run and plenty of space to get a couple of mountain bikes in the back with the rear seats out or plenty of room for tents and booze on the way to a festival etc.

Only thing I miss is the auto wipers but no biggie!!

Meh thats nothing! Im 6'6" and 20 stone and did 1400 miles in a week last year in mine, was honestly very comfy.

I could live without the Auto Wipers tbh, i find them a pain in the ass, never wipe when you need them to then go into full spastic panic mode when raining normally at times.
