I have had a search and there is not a page on it.

which one?

typically, remove any clips and give it a good tug.

+1

Are you talking about the one that's got the little filter in it?

That one is only a short pipe, which joins up with a system of other pipes lower down.

Peugeot only sell the whole lot complete, but if it's only the top hose you need, buy the whole lot and then just unclip and change the top one. Yes

As Welshy says, there are two 10mm nuts which hold the wiring bracket on under the manifold to the front of the block. You will need to remove the manifold and maybe starter then remove that bracket.

Once you've got that far, you will see the network of pipes and be able to unclip them and change the lot. Don't forget to order a new inlet manifold gasket for when you do the job. Wink

You may be lucky and not *have* to replace it as it's fairly new. However, you run the risk of tearing the gasket removing the manifold and then being stuck without a car if Peugeot are shut at the time...

Shouldn't have to replace anything else whilst you're there though. Cool

Yes, perhaps at the same time as doing this job, you could combine it with fitting a PTFE inlet gasket as well?

If you are going to do that, you're best off buying two standard gaskets from Peugeot, so that you can put one against the head, then the PTFE and then the other standard gasket before fitting the manifold. Yes

This will give the best sealing, and it is how I have mine. Yes

Oh right ok then sounds good to me. What is the difference and where will i get a PTFE one to fit? long as it is not stupidly priced ha Yes

"Phillip M" on here sells them, I think they around £10. Yes

The difference is that the PTFE is about 5mm thick and it doesn't transfer the heat from the head the inlet manifold anywhere near as much as the standard one does.

Ever been for a drive, then popped the bonnet and put your hand on the inlet? It's very hot. If you did the same thing with the PTFE installed it will be slightly warm, that's it. So the colder the temperature of the inlet air the better. Yes

I have messaged him and put ont in a wanted thread. thanks. Smile

I have done that yes, it is bloody hot haha.

I read on one thread here that it spaces the injectors or something... does that not cause any problems? mine is a standard engine

Due to the gasket being 5mm thick (approx) it does indeed move the injectors further back from the valve ports. Yes

However, you will receive no problems with doing this, lots of standard '6's run these gaskets with no running issues whatsoever. Yes

Ah right ok then thanks.Smile

Are there any other advantages apart from the heat not transfering?

It is said that due to the injectors being moved further back that the fuel gets more time mix with the incoming air therefore enabling it to atomise better, becoming a more combustable mixture. Yes

Just make sure you buy two standard gaskets from Pug and sandwich the PTFE one with them. This gives the best sealing then. Smile
