Not sure if this should be in electrical or interior as my question isn't straight forward, had a look and can't find much by using the search!

Basically I have a phase one car that has been completely gutted and everything changed to phase three, the only phase one item is the heater that came from an s16 so I'm guessing the same as a rallye.
Since I changed everything my heaters only get warm no matter how hot the engine gets.

The cooling system is bleed with no air lock so I can't see why it's not getting hot!

Is it known for thermostats to seize open?

thermostats can get stuck open, but if the temp on the gauge hits normal then it would indicate its fine.

could be a blocked matrix or the flap in the heater box stuck and the cable not connected.

That was my thinking so had illuminated that as th problem but was worth a second opinion.
All the cables move as they should and all the flaps move as they should!
I thought that iv read that phase 2/3 temp control is electrical and not cable like the s16, can anyone confirm how a Rallye heater temp control works!

Playing around with mine I noticed that the heater rotary switch only operates the flap for fresh air or recirculating what's in the car, from the numbers onwards it doesn't operate the cable and the cable as at it's maximum travel?
