Glad you can look back on it with relief mate...Smile

I am also interested to know if that was a pattern part or genuine. Yes

I think daveyboy had one break too didn't he? It is odd though, i'v always used aftermarket ones and never had any problems. Although on mine at the moment its genuine ones so once they are trashed I may just re-bush them. That looked dangerous. Think you were lucky whilst being incredibly unlucky. Smile

I run genuine wishbones, I did have aftermarket at one point, but they just didn't feel good on the road, and I decided to go to Pug wishbones and fit them with the roller bearing bushes...

They were fine from then on. Thumbs up

I have one genuine on the driverside and a aftermarket on the passenger LOL

Back to the water problem. since i chucked a bottle of rad weld in there it has not lost a drop so may have been a tiny split in a pipe or something. Smile

Or the rad weld has sealed up the space around the HG where it was failing, or blocked up the leak on the heater matrix. Yes

The problem with radweld is, it does mess stuff up eventually.

Personallly I would never use the stuff and rather find the faulty part and replace it. It has been known to block heater matrixs in the past etc...Yes

However, if it's solved your issues then great. Smile

you do have some bad luck! did u use the liquid based rad weld or the crumbs? the new liquid based one doesn't cause to much blockade as made to prevent that. but really like stan said needs to be rectified! new heater rad and rad sounds good to me

It's a breather hose from the crankcase so if it is not sealed then you will get crankcase gases (smoke) coming out of it. Yes

No problem, although saying that I don't seem to get smoke out of mine, but that is what it's there for. Wink
