What are the advantages of filling my tyres with nitrogen ?

No moisture in the air and therefore less pressure change between hot and cold tyres, this enables tyre pressures to be controlled more precisely for a given heat range.

At £3.00 a tyre, maybe. Depends if you do a lot of track driving and trye pressures are that important to you. On a road car I'd say no.

its more stable I think, trouble with track or competition driving is that tis soon diluted with your standard air mix when you adjust the pressures.

No, unless you fun a Ferrarri or something that has super wide/expensive tyres you don't want chewing it's sidewalls up cos the pressure dropped to low etc.
