Hi guys,

I bought my Rallye a couple of weeks ago and had no intensions of doing anything with it. The Rallye was only going to be used as my daily driver so I could take the mx5 off the road and give it a full rebuild. After just a few weeks with the 306 I'm a changed man... with a change of plan!

So the MX5 has been sold and so project Rallye begins!!

The MX5 had original (20 year old!) paint work so getting a good finish from a clean was almost impossible, so I never really took much of an interest in it. The Rallye on the other hand has had a recent respray, although this is not perfect, is a s**t load better than the Mazda!! haha

So after a trip to Halfrauds I took advantage of their easter 2 for 1 deal and invested in some proper cleaning materials.

So are a few photos from when I went to look at the car.

So I finally got a weekend when it was not raining and got to work giving it a proper clean.

So the plans are!

New exhaust - The tail pipe is looking a bit past it's best and It appears it has had some welding on it.

Rebuild the rear beam - I have done a bit of reading and thicker TBs and a Hybrid ARB are on the shopping list.

Track day - Get out and see what suspension set up you guys are using. The B8/6 and eibach spring set up looks like a popular choice but I'm not sure if I could be bothered driving a harsh set up again. (The MX5 was a nightmare)

Rallye decals & Front splitter - Just to bring it back to OEM.

Thanks for looking,

Colin.

Haha! I wouldn't have posted them but I never had any dirty before pictures!

One of the pictures from your project thread is actually saved on my phone. I used it as inspiration when making my decision to buy a 306! Thumbs up
