purchased this 306 back in november for £850.00 with 96 thousand miles and lowered all round on coilovers, the car had been neglected pretty bad was in need of a new front bumper, repair to boot and rear quarter and really good tidy up. the project was on

day i got her in november

first job was to source the new bumper, decided to get on direct from pug as didnt want to get one of ebay and run the risk of it being in no better condition than mine, my local dealer had one on the shelf and wanted £50.00 for it "result"

car was then sent of to the local bodyshop for the work to begin

front end stripped down

as you can see the car needs some tlc

car was then masked up and repair work started on the boot where the laquer peel was, there was a dent under the drivers rear light and the quarte looked like it had been washed with a brillo pad in a previous life so this was sorted to

i then turned my attention to the wheels

back from being shotblasted

finished in standard silver looking factory fresh

car was then all repaired in the affected areas and was looking better all ready

rear boot repaired

front end built up notice the fog lights removed these are later to be replaced with the rallye blanks

rear end built up, rear wiper removed awaiting bung

first day out of the bodyshop looking 100% better than we i first got it

having its first wash

ordered these next, i know there not to everyones cup of tea but had them on previous cars and i think they set the car of a treat

car was still a long way from completion and was in need of a good valet and some other small jobs to be sorted so of to my mates garage "notice the turbo elise what a beast"

new red rear badge put on as old one had corrided, unsure as of yet but sure it will grow on me

front shot now with ph3 crystals fitted really changes the look of the front end

spoiler boot trim and badge removed to be cleaned up

plastic trim in the roof was coming away so was sealed down

clock repaired as not working "small things that make the difference "

car after its first good clean

one of the back notice the shiny exhaust, brand new system purcahsed from pug, boot spoiler and trim to be fiited still and removal of other badge

updates

rear spoiler and boot trim back and fitted

rallye blanks fitted at last

more updates to follow soon

Great stuff... Nice paint work. Only critisism is the pressed plates, other than that she is looking sweet!

Please don't paint the fuel cap strips, unless you're going to smooth them. They look gash otherwise. Thumbs down

Carbon fibre would be nice. my bump strips had been colour coded before I bought mine, looked good but phase 3 strips look better than the phase 2 type unless they are left black IMO.

FOR SALE

this is now up for sale due not being used and wedding to be paid for

These are not the current pics but can send some on request

specs are

1998 306 gti 6 in Diablo red
Mot Till September
97 thousand miles
I have only done 352 since i have owned since November

Car has pretty much had a full respray done by a professional bodyshop and from all those who see her at FCS will know how good it looked

the engine bay has been fully stripped and every nut and bolt replaced with new stainless steel ones
Inlet manifold has been painted OEM silver and and a brand new Pug badge fitted from Pugeout itself
Cam Covers painted Diablo red
only other mod in the engine bay is an uprated K and N panel filter

Car has recently had a full service including all oil and fluids plugs brake fluid etc

Car has 4 Toyo proxes T1R fitted and have only covered as stated 352 miles since fitted

all 4 cyclones have been fully refurbished and all calipers and hubs have been rubbed down and painted black

the car has also been lowered on Coillovers "make unknown" was on the car before i bought them, rear has been lowered to match the front, belive the drop is 100mm front 80mm rear, car has no scraping arch clearance issues, front splitter catches on speed humps is the only set back

exterior as mentioned has been fully repainted and is in excellent condiiton, even had dent devil come to remove the dents in the rear quarter and passenger door which wasnt painted due paint being ok

to confrim painted panels on the car

bonnet
roof
front bumper "purchased brand new"
front wings
Drivers side rear quarter
Rear boot bumper and spoiler
all panels not painted have been fully machine polished and the whole paint work blends into the car really well
car has had phase 3 crystal headlights fitted as well

bad points

all cars have them -

drivers seat has a burn in the middle and slight wear on the bolster "am looking at replacing"
central locking has a mind of its own

apart from them points this is a great car and for its age i would say is a great example

if anyone is intrested please email me at

broot@fwcool.co.uk or call 07721865881

am looking for £1850 ONO

thanks

brian

Bump

car is now not going to be used

battery has been isolated and car is sat under a cover the milegae sits at 97126 and will not go up

£1500 sees this gone

which is a bargain but due the economy car prices are had it would love £1850 for it and anyone that comes to view will know its worth every penny.

if i had the space and a garage and no wedding to pay for this would stay but needs to go to a new home, car will be fully valeted again before the sale
