I have a pair of ebc grooved/dimpled discs on the front of my 6, i was told that they are fitted the wrong way round.. on the driverside the groove is curving back towards the rear of the car. Is this correct or a complete balls up? barnettjd77 has attached the following image: ________________________________________ A red rallye in progress! |

the grooves bring the air into the middle of the disc and s**t away. think of it that waythe disc above looks right, depends on the vanes ultimately but that looks right ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

here, air hits the disc somewhat like this. given it's hidden by your wheel anyway but it ultimately does help. a bit. on a ferrari at Oulton Parkrikky has attached the following image: ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

It's only the vanes that are important - if the vanes are straight in the disc it matters not a toss.Top of the groove touching pad first is allegedly better for feel, bottom of the groove first allegedly better for pad wear. His grooves may not even touch the end of the disc. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

I reckon mine are on pad wear setting then Well they work very well so i suppose something must be right ________________________________________ A red rallye in progress! |

I was always told that the grooves should be throwing the gas out from the disc ie center to outside edge.So as the pictures shows! ________________________________________ V6 Power!Faster I can go the better! Its not what you drive, its how you drive that wins the race! |

Pictures above are correct. Spoke to Tarox directly and asked them, they confirmed. People think it seems as if the cutouts should be biting into the pads, but actually they're meant to be throwing out old pad dust and hot air. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |
