Hi all i am new to the forum and gti6 oc i have purchased my self my 4th 306 and this is my second gti6 unfortunately the fans do not cut it when i am sat in traffic etc and the temperature gauge rises to around 100 degrees at this point i turn up the heaters or nock it off as i fear for the head gasket or coolant pipes i have heard something about some dreaded relays which fail has anyone had a similar problem or any ideas on a fix thanks all |

It could be the relays, I think there was an FAQ in the FAQ section. If you have a 6 you'll have 2 fans, low and high speed, are both of them not working? It could also be a dodgy motor iirc if one will not turn neither will the other, try spinning them by hand to get them started. I had this problem, it turned out my loom was buggered where it passes across the bumper.________________________________________ team: Stealth |

thanks mate ok i will have a look when i can remove the bumper the fans turn freely by hand so not jammed but il have to have a good look at wires then when i get chance eather make my own circuit up or use a kenlowe switch to run both fans off  http://www.306gti6.com/images/smileys/thumbsup.gif |
