Hi guys,
Just a quick one, what works would be involved in changing the lower engine mount for a performance one?
Has anyone got a step by step guide? Couldn't find anything "how to" related. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Essentially, you will need to remove the o/s driveshaft and then remove the lower mount housing.

Once you have the lower mount housing off, you can then work on it at a bench and cut the old bush out and replace with a new one (depending on which type of mount you've bought it may need a press to put it in).

Some people have managed to cut the old bush out with the driveshaft and housing still on the car, but then you are working underneath the car in a cramped space. Plus, this method is only really good if you have something like a Powerflex lower mount to fit in place of the original as these can be fitted easily be hand once you get the old one out. Smile

Anything that needs a press you will need to take it off the car.

Don't get a Powerlfex one as even a std new one is better, But as above with the housing removed they are easy to press out and in with the new one
