While looking over my vacuum pump, I've noticed a split in the thin metal where it mates with the camshaft (hopefully the pic is clearer than my description)


Am I able to replace this part or is it new pump time?

well, i dismantled mine and rebuilt it and at the time you could buy separate bits for it i think. well, you could buy the seals anyway

I'd get one from a breakers to be honest, you won't get that part separately from Pug. No

Yeah I think a replacement if the only option really.

I had considered trying it with that broken part removed, as once it's together the cam should keep it in place, but think that might be a little risky

I dare say but correct me if im wrong, but you may be able to get one from a diesel.

Just replaced the two rubber o-ring seals on mine after refurbing it, the big one was about 40p, the littler bugger nearly three quid!!!!!!!

Like Mei says, get one off a breaker, they generally are long lasting

I've got spare vacuum pumps if you need one, can send it up with your other bits, or send it sepaerately before hand if easier.
