Stan was very helpful with this and after a lengthy argument with Peugeot I'm still no further forward

After looking at Matt Evans project thread (wow) I saw he has a metal tensioner (as do i) but he also has a metal roller, whereas i've been supplied with a plastic roller.

I purchased the motor kit (part no. 0831 R5) which includes the metal tensioner, 136 tooth kit and roller (part no. 0830 63). Now looking at all three phases the part no. for the roller doesnt change.

So my question is, where do i get this metal roller for? Or should I just stick with the plastic one supplied with the kit?? Stan says that this kit should be supplied with the metal tensioner and Peugeot are adamant that they dont do it!!!

Please help lol

I have seen plastic idler pulleys but not on a pug belt kit.

the idler is the same part number on all XU10 16v kits

0830 37 but superseded by

0830 63

£22.59

the last few Kits I have fitted used shorter bolts and a larger diameter bearing inside the same outer diameter steel roller, though they were INA-Dayco kits supplied by GSF, not full o.e boxed items (who in their right mind would pay over £100 when GSF do them at unde £50 Big grin )

ohh...

like this Thumbs up

ohhhhh #2.

GSF do 0830 37 under part # 132PC0030

£16.50 Big grin and they have one in stock at their Heathrow warehouse.

when I cross ref the later part number it doe show on GSF's catalogue as a plastic roller at £19.80.

Mei,

Those INA rollers have been using the larger ID and short retaining bolt for years now.

And like you say, why would you pay double the price for an identical part in a Pug box when you can get it from a factors. Both parts will be manufactured by INA. Yes
