Hi All,

My Rallye has just started having a problem with the fuel gauge. On Ignition the gauge goes up to full, then after a few moments drops to just above empty.

I have a full tank of fuel - check!

I have also removed the sender unit and checked the resistance at the plug. It reads from around 50 - 350 ohms which I believe to be ok. Also noticed at the same time that the rear drivers side side light has also stopped working.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Ok - I have ran a live from the passenger side light to the drivers side. But now I have fuel gauge working as well. Can't make sense of it. All fuses are fine. It will do for now but would still like to fix properly.

The arm on the things is always moving ,its all part of the fuel pump assembly , it changes the resistance as it moves and so wears out a bit , get yourself another pump assembly off here , easy to change , £20 odd
