I'm after a set of the loose tapered washer type wheel bolts for some c5 steels
I thought the normal tapered wheel bolts would do, but turns out they are the wrong ones

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

They are 60 degrees taper, and if you want you can use/buy the same sized washer's to replicate the washer these bolts have, that way it will help protect the C5 thin alloy from any damage when doing them up. Citroen must have a good reason for the washer's.

Most alloy wheel shops or Rally Design should be able to sort you out.

I have some and using them with my stud conversion as nuts with a tapered fitted loose washer are not available in this country.

You can buy them new from Peugeot / Citreon.

Don't expect much change out of £60.00

Thats why i suggested buying other bolts, you can get them all for say around £30 inc washer's.

A bit like them yes, just thinner and able to make the 60 degree's tapered bolt inside it. Ill go have a look for you now where i got them from cheap. Below are the ones i got for my other 60 degree alloys, i got the nuts for the C5 with stud conversion. You might want them coated in better stuff though, mine are ok so far after a few months.

Give speedshack a call and they will sort you the right washers the same as mine. They are very helpful and quite cheap. Just ask for 60 degree tapered washer with 60 degree inner face. They are about 3 or 4 mm thick.

I took some pics for you of what mine will use once i fit the studs. The C5 wheel has what looks like corroded bits around the top edge of the tapered bolt holes. Its nothing serious but does show how weak they are being done up the wrong torque settings or too often with a heavy hand etc.

One has the original bolt/washer in the hole, the other shows the new washer and nut/bolt with the 60 degree taper. When i turn them round doing them up, only the nut/bolt turned around on the inside of the washer and not the washer round the wheel bolt holes.

Oh and speedshack ones are cheaper that the ones you linked up.

Looking back at your link, those ones are like the originals with a taper on the outside and M12 oval on the inside. So its done up with one taper and the other surface being flat on flat.

Either way is fine, i just prefer using the two surfaces being the taper to try and get a better fitment and no movement that the flat type bolts can get. I think most race wheels use tapered type bolts, could be wrong though.
