Can one of rich w's head gaskets be re-used? May sound silly question but I've heard of some head gaskets been re-used?

I wouldn't personally re-use any head gasket, and I am not aware of the bespoke ones that Rich gets made being re-useable. No

No, never re-use any HG.

The elastomer coating is heat activated and fills the microscopic troughs in the block / head to create perfect seal - this will only happen once. Also, the raised swaged areas on the gasket are crushed to form a mechanical seal, again, this will only happen once.

I highly recommend these head gaskets, I have one fitted to mine which is pumping out over 450bhp reliably. Smile

O I know I just took mine of tonight. Don't think I did a 1000 miles on it. Because some one else wired my car up it had few probs I didt relies till to late. Basically I then over looked some thing so simple it was school boy error re-sulted in an scrap engine. May As well explain. First there was a wire connected to crank sensor that shouldt of been. Took ages to figure out and made car not a very nice drive. Then second one day, 2 injectors stuck fully on an filled cylinders with juice. Emptied it out fixed wiring and sent for remap an had great results. Driving it round 4 days later my mate wanted a spin. So iam giving it full beans 8000rpm she started to die. I gave it a little more then realised I had a prob. Pulled over engine seized . I had't changed the oil petrol must off seeped threw into oil wen pistons got full. I never even thought. Lol. This resulted in con rod weldEd to crank, head scrap due to picking up swarf, etc. at least I got something else to on-my long list. Excuse bad write up iam on my phone an stressed

Shock

I am still trying to digest that...

Sounds like you've had a bad time with it. Chin up mate and get her fixed back up. Thumbs up
