Obviously not 306 related but I know there are some rather knowledgeable people on here!

Basically my dad has a 52 plate partner (1.9 straight diesel) with a half knackered gearbox, I've just been offered a J plate 309 with the 1.9 diesel lump.

Does anyone know if the gearboxes are any where near similar or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks
Martin

partner used a BE4 with a clutch arm poking out the front of the box, 309 will have a BE3 box with clutch shaft poking out the top with a clutch arm on that, not too dissimilar but not a straight swap.

they are different engines, one is XUD the other DW.

if the box is half knackered, either fix it, or keep looking for a DW8/BE4 gearbox, plenty about,

Thanks for the info mate, didn't think it would be a straight swap but as I was going to pretty much have it for free I thought it would be worth an ask!

Shall have a look for the above gearbox!

Thanks
